Save frame at high DPI (masks)
Hi all. I have an animation I’ve made entirely with masks (all bezier curves; thus, vectors). I want to save a frame of it at higher than the default 72 DPI, for print. Is this possible? An even better alternative would be some way to export a frame as an Illustrator or other vector art file. I’ve tried exporting the entire animation as Flash, which works great, but from that point I can’t get Flash to export a frame as an Illustrator file… Thanks for any help.

To export high resolution (not vector) version:
Create a comp with the print resolution you want. (Forget about DPI, AE doesn’t understand it, so work out the math to get the number of pixels you need, eg: 6×4 inch at 300 dpi = 1800×1200 pixels)
Drag your original comp to the new comp and enable Collapse Transformations. Save Frame As. -
Oh, forgot to say rescale original comp to fill new comp.
