Alright, I’m so angry right now.
I have made some animated stars in After Effects using particular plugin. This is how it looks

NOW I want to make this to a transparent GIF animation.
Doing this from After Effects seems to fail, and what I read on internet I can do this in PhotoShop.

I export the animated stars to Quicktime with PNG, so it turns transparent. Then I import it into PhotoShop where it makes layers and animation for it.
PERFECT SO FAR!

Problem is the saving. It works great if I save it WITH a background. But if I do WITHOUT a background, it does not work!

I only seem to be able to save the “optimizer” window, that tries to optimize it to my document. So when I don’t have a background it doesn’t care about my smooth image, it becomes sharp and looks total ugly.

Here’s a screenshot at the optimizer window. Look at the size! 7kb. The stars being sharp and no smoothness.

You see, 87kb in size.
Same settings for both.
And yeah, I know it doesn’t work to see much in the screen there because it’s white stars and the transparent is kind of white and grey.

BUT, problem is I don’t want any background, it has to be transparent.

ANY SOLUTIONS!? How can photoshop make not this possible to save the original GIF? Or am I wrong, is there some way? some secret gate that Photoshop is hiding?

Hmm seems like I can’t edit my post.
Anyway, I made an example here of the problem. The first is what comes up when I choose no background, not smooth at all.
The second is when I have a black background, smooth and great BUT a black background which I do not want!
