You’re right. There is no reason whatsoever to spend that amount. You can get a full-featured managed switch from Dell for like $600.

February 7, 2007 at 9:54 amThe switch I chose in the end is the SMC8024L2 made by SMC. It’s fantastic and is very fully featured and is performing perfectly. I ordered it from Provantage for $424.42…
