    Hi,

I have a FW800 G4 and want to add about 500 Gb or more. I already have three small 120 Gb internal drives so I was thinking my best option would be to add a pci SATA controller card (probably Firmtek). Also along those lines I was thinking of getting Hitachi SATAII drives (2x500Gb) and maybe a burly or Firmtek enclosure.

Would this be the best, most reasonably priced, way to go? Or are there recommendations on different cards? Drives? And enclosures?

I will be using the drives probably only for Final Cut scratch, and I don

    Eric,

The Firmtek stuff is great and very reasonably priced. I own both their 2-drive and 4-drive enclosures and I am very satisfied with both.
