sata controller card
Does anyone have a suggestion for a sata controller card for my 8200 machine. I recently installed two seagate 250G 7200.8 sata drives and can’t get them to digitze dv25411. I get video overruns. I’ve read of many instances where people were using promise controllers and for whatever reason it wouldn’t work. My luck, HP sold me the promise fastrak 150 TX4 which I’m told should work. Well, rather than keep pounding the square peg in a round hole, the cards are cheap enough to try something else. Any suggestions.

Pyro pci 64 FW card 2-seagate ext FW drives
2-250G seagate 7200.8 sata drives -

Hi creatureteacher,
might just be a bus segmentation problem. Mojo seems a little bit touchy when running in the same pci bus segment as the mass storage.
Try reseating the controller (it should also run in the PCI-X segments…)Good luck
