Has anyone any experience with using 1 sata 10000 rpm drice
with standard def. Is it adequate to handle realtime output and effects? I have had my share of raid problems lately and wish to go to something less prone to catastrophic failure.

    thanks

    Hi.

If one drive fails there is no way to get it up and running!
With raid you have a shot if you do not mess up rebuild 🙂
If you mess it up then there is no way again 🙂

Just gate external sata capable of RAID 5 with decent manager like CalDigit units have.
