SAS or SATA drives in raids
haven’t gotten any advice on this here or in raid forum. Is it worth using SAS drives in a raid? Was told they were more reliable and faster.
Seagate 8TB Enterprise Capacity 7200 rpm SAS III 3.5″ Internal HDD for $260 is not that much more than SATA drives.
I would backup to less expensive drives.Imacs (i7), Canon C300, Canon 5D Mark IV, Panasonic ENG HPX250P, , FCP X, teach video production in L.A., Cool Light Productions, Producing series of multimedia Portraits of creative women in the production arts.

SATA and SAS drives are basically the same. SAS tends to be targeted for enterprise and workstations thus tend to have all the bells and whistles and a longer warranty (5 vs 1-3 years)
