I’m having trouble with the S_halftoneColor PI. Is there a way to adjust it’s opacity once applied to a layer without having to go adjustment layer route. The opacity parameter in the plugin allows 3 options :

    All opaque
    Normal
    As premult

What do these do? It seems all Sapphire plugins have this parameter.

In the end I want to rescale a layer (3d camera) with the effect applied to it, while having the “dots” grow with the layer. An adjustment layer on top doesn’t seem to want to do this. Help!

Hi, Marc. There’s no specific opacity param in that plug-in; you can apply it with an adjustment layer as you said, or comp it over the original and fade between them.

If you just want the dots to grow and shrink rather than fade in and out, use the Dots Frequency parameter.

If an adjustment layer isn’t working for you due to 3d layer problems in AE, you can always precomp.
