sapphire fx (but prob a general matte) question.
hey folks. I know this may be better in the plugins section, but traffics weak there, and this is really getting to me. 🙂
My issue is this…..i have an animation that ends in text. I want to transition from this to an xdcam shot with a sapphire fx lense flair. I have the last frame of the animation text as a tiff with an alpha channel, enabling me to lay it over the top of the xd shot and have it work as it should, i.e see the text over the picture.
Im trying to wipe the text off the screen, whilst seeing the image underneath and i want to use the lense flair over the top of the text as it wipes between the two shots. but when i wipe the text with the lense flair effect on top…..it wipes the text and the base layer at the same time.
as a disclaimer, i usually use avid where if i drop the effect on some text with a wipe, it just effects the text without changing the layer underneath.
do i need to nest? i’ve tried all logic applied to avid to solve this and am at wrist slitting stage…..please help.
i know this post technically makes no sense really, but its hard to explain.
all i want to do is wipe some text off the screen with a sapphire lense flair and not effect the bottom layer….HOW???
