My church is going to redo the stage and the back of the sanctuary. Does anybody know of a good way for a cross to co-exist with a projection screen? Fixed cross w/ motorized screen; fixed screen w/ motorized cross; lighted cross behind fabric screen; etc. Anybody know how to do it, or have actually done it, or have seen it done?

I’ve done one church setup in my life and we set a motorized screen in front of the cross, everyone was happy. Lightings wise, you’ll need ellipsoidal fixtures to keep light off the screen.

Or many setups I’ve seen, they now do 2 smaller screens on the sides.

The advantages are there if the budget and space allow it.

It avoids issues with light hitting the screens, allows the screens to be setup lower at a more comfortable viewing angle and makes the screens brighter overall with the same projector covering a smaller area.
