    Hello,

I have a quick question. I am filming a band and will be shooting DVCPRO HD 720 at 23.98. All audio will be recorded on a Sound Device 744T. I’m concerned about the audio drifting once it is sync’d up and want to make sure we record in the proper sample rate to avoid this problem. Can anyone share what the proper sample rate the 744 should be set to?

    Thank you,
    Billy

    Hello Billy,

The sample rate should be whatever they want in post; probably 48 kHz if you’re shooting to video. Make sure you find out from them what frame rate they want as well.

    Thanks Ty,

Everything went great and the syncing was fine. It was my first time using the 744T and I have to say I loved it. I can believe how simple it was to navigate.

    Thanks again,
    Billy
