sample HDV footage
Posted by Animatedkona on April 3, 2005 at 9:04 pmI just installed the cineform plugin from Adobe to allow working with HDV in Premier Pro. I have not purchased a HDV camera yet but wanted to get an idea of how my system would perform. Does anyone know where to get a small sample of HDV footage that can be downloaded from the internet and then brought into Premier. Perhaps footage already as a cinemform avi file.
Thanks,
Frank

April 4, 2005 at 1:37 amI would be happy to upload some tonight and send you the URL if YouSendIt.com will work for me. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it does not.
Are you considering a 720p or 1080i? The link to https://www.royaltyfreehdtv.com/ is all 720p out of a JVC, mine is 1080i out of a Sony HDR-FX1.
Do you want the M2T file so you can convert it yourself, or the Cineform AVI file (almost 4 times the size)?

I sent you an e-mail that I got from your site. I had found some M2T files on the net but could not load them into Premier Pro using the free cineform plugin from Adobe.
How do you load them into Premier Pro?
Thanks,
Frank

April 4, 2005 at 5:39 amYou convert them with the HDLink software that comes with Cineform Aspect HD.
Otherwise it takes almost four times as much bandwidth to transfer the files ig someone converts them for you.

Try dropload.com if yousendit.com doesn’t work for you. I have never had a problem with dropload.

April 6, 2005 at 9:07 pmThat’s a new one on me. Thanks. Less than 100MB is restrictive, but should be workable for most things. Even if I have to chop things up.
