Sales software suggestion (leads, marketing, CRM)
I would like to know if anyone here has suggestions as to what sales management software they use. I’m particularly interested in finding a good piece of software that would allow good leads and opportunity tracking, pipeline visibility, contact management, etc.
I’m currently working with a mix of Excel spreadsheets and Outlook. A bit cumbersome. I would like to find something very well integrated but at a reasonable price. Easily customizable for the small business we are.
I’m currently looking into GoldMine and Salesforce.com. The latter won’t do it for us because it is way too expensive (free edition too limited), and also because it is 100% web-based. I want to make sure I can carry my software with me for client meetings. That’s the point isn’t it.
Nice to haves would be campaign management (snail mail, email, etc.), enhanced reporting, and Outlook integration. Those are not must haves but would be great.

I use Goldmine because of a major client project, but have worked with Act and it is almost as good at lower cost. Act is easier to use IMHO Goldmine has beeter group / network features

on a PC I really liked ACT! but never fully used those tools.
on my MAC I use Daylite by Marketcircle https://www.marketcircle.com/. Not as smooth as ACT, but keeps everything together.
