I have an older macbook with 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3.2 that did work fine. but now it will not allow any https: websites, including secure apple sites. I reinstalled the OS but it did not help. I tried to install the 1.3.2 update but it said it would not work on this cpu, even though thats what’s on here. otherwise it works fine. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Run disk utility delete your cache for safari, and safari preferences

If that doesn’t work, what type of re-install did you do?

Can you access the web through another browser? (firefox…)

    If yes then

Download the safari installer if none of the above works or use you system disk to just install safari, after deleting your current copy. You need to uninstall safari if possible getting rid of all traces of the application before installing the new one…

If no then you need to do an archive and install of your system….
