I have an older macbook with 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3.2 that did work fine. but now it will not allow any https: websites, including secure apple sites. I reinstalled the OS but it did not help. I tried to install the 1.3.2 update but it said it would not work on this cpu, even though thats what’s on here. otherwise it works fine. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

[Joseph Bradley] “I have an older macbook with 10.3.9”

No MacBook ever made would be able to run 10.3.9 at all, all intel macs came with 10.4.x and will not run any thing older.

Thats because you are probably trying to install the PPC version on an intel machine or trying to install the Intel version on a PPC.

Have you verified if the computer is getting an internet signal at all, check under network in system preferences.
