Safari and Software Update just stopped working?
For some strange reason, my and my partners computers will no longer connect via Safari. Both work fine with IE or Firefox. Safari simply says “Safari can’t connect to the server”.
Both Macs are connected via an Asante Router via Broadband connection. We both have Tiger installed, my version is 10.4.1 and my partners is 10.4.0. We have done nothing different at all, this just stopped working last night.
Also, neither of us can do a software update via “Software Update…”
This also happened last night.
Can anybody advise as to why these strange things have started happening on two computers in two different rooms in the house?
Why would Safari just stop working, again, on two different computers conected via the same router?
More importantly, why would software update just stop working too?

Oh yes, I’ve just noticed that internet widgets are not working either. Both computers.
I’ve also tried bypassing the router but the same thing happens.
