sachtler touch and go versus snap and go
I just received my new Sachtler FSB-6 tripod head in the mail. However, it came with the touch and go mounting plate instead of the snap and go mounting plate. My order was for the snap and go side load plate. Is it worth the trouble for me to return it for the plate I ordered?
I see the advantage of using the touch and go is that the camera will stay balanced every time you put it on the head (the position of the plate on the head remains constant). However, to counter that, the snap and go plate has markings and numbers so you can remember where you need to be to have a balanced camera.
Are there any other advantages to the touch and go?
I see the advantage of the side load snap and go is that it’s got much more travel for balancing my camera forwards or backwards.
