    The FCP license only allows the installation of the product on one machine at a time. Within the terms of the license you have to uninstall it from the desktop before installing it on the laptop or vice versa.

    When you install it on both (which you’re not allowed to do) and they’re connected to a network, it will close the program
    if you try to have FCP open on both at the same time. If you *happen* to have it on both
    machines, and you don’t register it with Apple, and you don’t have it open on both when
    connected, you get a message every 5 times you open the program, asking you to register it
    (at least, that’s what I’ve read).
