I have a 1 GHZ G4 Powerbook with 1 gig of RAM, OS10.4.7 running FCP 5.4 When I use RT rendering and play it back it gives me a drop frame warning. Any suggestions.

    Thanks

    2 Things:

    1. Under the RT pulldown at the top left of your timeline, be sure that RT is set to UNLIMITED RT. Also, make sure that your Playback Video Quality and Playback Frame Rate settings under this pulldown are both set to DYNAMIC.

    2. Turn of the “Warn on dropped frames during playback” option. If your render bar is displaying Orange/Unlimited, frames may be dropped (hence dynamic frame rate above) in order to keep playback in RT.

    Hope that fixes things.

    Thanks, Ben!

That helps a lot. I made the adjustments that you suggested and it works.
I have a question. If frames are dropped wht the render bar is Orange and it drops frames (at dynamic frame rate) to playback in RT with the warning turned off, then will the manyl dropped frames show in the sequence when I output it to tape or a website?

    Thanks,
    Denise
