Some reason I thought AE used to Motion Blur corner pins… Anyway, RSMB won’t either. I have to render it out first. When I apply RSMB on a corner pin (whether Pre-comped or not) it draws a red rectangle over it…

Any ideas how to MoBlur a Corner pin without a prerender?

    Thanks!

RSMB needs to see the same size image from frame to frame, and since you are animating a corner pin, it gets confused. THere is an easy work-around.

What you can do is pre-comp (not prerender) the layer with corner pinning, and then apply RSMB to that pre-comp within another comp.

Also, did you know that our RE:Map product has a corner-pin, with motion blur built in? It will give you much more accurate motion blur because no tracking needs to be done. (in our RE:Map plugin set, it is called “RE:Map Planar”). More info here: https://www.revisionfx.com/products/remap/overview/

    Hey Peter-
Thanks for the response. It adds a red rectangle over the image if I do it with a pre-comp containing the corner pin. Turning on Collapse doesn’t help. I’ll try simplifying the project and sending it over to you guys to see if it’s just me.

I’m on Mac Powerbook (latest gen) with CS3 and the latest RSMB.

    Thanks again.
