Rs 422 control “input”?
Hello i have an issue, we are a colorist facility in south america, and we want to do like a tape to tape but using Premier pro. So my question is could i control the premier Pro cs5 timeline thru an rs422? sending the signal of the timeline to the Davinci 2k with an black magic, but to control the time line i need it to do with a rs422 remote cable. like deck controls for play FF RW stop….

to my knowledge, PPro does not have a “VTR emulation mode” which is what you are describing.
However check out: https://www(dot)virtualvtr(dot)com.
this should allow you to control playback of exported media from any application with a compatible video i/o from: AJA, Matrox, or Black Magic

In speaking with some of my friends at Matrox, the CS5 versions of their software support RS-422 control playback in the software that comes with there MXO hardware.
again this is with media files external from PPro, not in the app itself, so you might give that a go.
