    Hello,

I want to use the max built in motion blur effect. Additional to that, I want to save my renders a 32bit images.

    – I tried .exr and .hdr and get the message: nope… not built for that
    – I tried .rpf works, that format works but I can’t load into After Effects Pro CS3 which is my comping tool

    so what to do ?
How can I use the max motion blur effects with 32bit and After Effects ?

thx a lot for every littel help

hdr compander in effects utility, set one above max motion at compress, duplicate it and place another below max motion at expand mode.

    Hello Chris,

really appreciate your reply.. but I can’t follow you.

when I try to load the .rpf I already get an error.
But anyways, I just click ok when the message pops up: unsuported bit depth.

so what do you mean ?

once loaded and on a layer, I can go to the Effects panel, and choose the Utility–> HDR Compander

Once this is done, I only have the option:
    Compress Expand Dynamic Range

but when I do this, I still get the error message, and my image appears still black.. nothing changed…

so what do I have to do ?

    thx a lot,
    bernhard

you’ll have to drop the RPF to 16-bit, thats the only way i’ve managed to import it successfully.
