Hi, I’m using RED 4k clips, transcoded to proxies etc. Timeline 1080p

XML to resolve, do grade and resolve is set to 1080p

    Resolve to FCPX via XML.
FCPX now shows a timeline of 1080p, but all clips are 4K, but when doing a find in browser the clip shows up as 1080p, but the item in my timeline shows 4k. Which results in rendering.

Why isn’t it reported as 1080p since it in fact is a 1080p video file. My orange renderbar should not have been there. What am I doing wrong …

I think this is a bug in how the spatial conform info is passed through the XMLs or in how Resolve writes that info. Or fails to strip it off. I think the only option is to render.

When you turn off spatial conform on the “returned” sequence, the 1080p video will be scaled up 200% (4x). The workaround in the future would probably be to start out with spatial conform set to “none” and manually scale. Or to work in a 4K timeline for the offline and then render/export to 1080 in Resolve.

You’ll see that I ran into the same issue here:
