    Hi There,

I have what I hope should be a relatively quick question but as is usually the case with anything 3D I’m sure it’s more complicated.

I know the process of extruding text from a spline and then using fillet caps to get a rounded front and back edge. My question is how to I round the length edges, running between the front and back face? I tried making it all an editable object then connect and delete the layers but when I bevel the caps come away?

I hope that’s a clear question, thanks for the help! #

You need to round the spline that you’re extruding if I understand what you’re asking for.

Maybe a loftNurb using 3 copies of the text. Make the middle spline bigger – maybe the outer part of an Outline spline (but you’d likely have to reverse the sequence after outlining)

ah I feared that may be the case and there wouldn’t be an easy fix. Thanks for clearing that up for me!
