  • rounded corners not working on shape layer

I’m unable to get rounded corners on some triangle shape layers that I’ve created. In short I have three triangles that spin on their centre anchor point. I’ve highlighted the shape layer, selected the ‘add’ drop down menu and clicked on rounded corners. A new sub content item appears called ’rounded corners’ and when toggled a radius slider. When I fiddle with the radius nothing happens. The shape layers do not appear changed at all.

Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?

Please post a screen grab of your timeline with the shape layer twirled open.

Hi Johnny, here’s the image. Shape layers 5 and 6 are duplicates of shape layer 7 but with different rotation directions and speeds.

    Thanks for your help.

I don’t see an inner radius on your triangles, wonder if that is the issue. I just made one and it works okay. Take a look at my project and see if there is a difference between the two.

You’ve set Outer Roundness to a negative value. This prevents any roundness from being applied to the shape. The lowest value allowed for said prop which allows for roundness is 0.

BTW, only the Star Shape provides the Inner Radius and Inner Roundness properties.

Thanks guys. It worked. Another problem was that I had the shape type set to polygon instead of star.

    Cheers, Lars
