    Hello All,

First of all, gotta say, we love, love, love the “COW.”
I still find it amazing that all of this knowledge is at any ones disposal and you all are willing to share. Thank You!!

We are newbies to the rotoscoping environment and are trying to gauge whether a future project is feasible or not. We pick up new software and technologies quite well and quickly as we are adding to our video production arsenal. A feature length film we have in pre-production right now has a main character who’s eyes have “lets say” changed. We need to apply a special effect to the eye socket area for a good bit of the film. This is the only special effect needed in the film, but being the main character we realize there will be a lot of time involved with this effect.

Any suggestions as to what software is best for this type of rotoscoping? I see Silhouette FX and Imagineer’s Mocha at the top of the list. Any others we should be considering? Any techniques we should be aware of in the production phase….. lighting?

You are going to love this; there are two tutorials that are just what the doctor ordered. You can either look at eye replacement or eye creation.
