    Hi everyone,

Just a quick question, I know it’s stupid, but I’m not very proficient with After Effects yet. How come that after I finish rotoscoping, effects are applied to the whole shot instead of just the rotoscoped area? Help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    M.

Hi Manu. If you have rotoscoped something then you should only be able to see the thing you have rotoscoped, so that’s the only thing you will see with the effect applied. What do you mean “the whole shot”? You should be adding the effects to the rotoscoped layer not to an adjustment layer – if that’s what you’re doing.

    Please excuse the late reply.
I still haven’t figured it out, though I believe it’s probably something really simple.
