Rotation TOOL center: arbitrary placement?
I’m sure this is a perennial favorite…
I’d like to set the rotational center of the Rotation TOOL to be away from my selection: that is, I’ll be rotating my selection along an arc.
How does one do that? Currently, the rotational center is at the center of the selected items.

Create your object – a cube for example.
Make it editable – (C)
Enable axis modification – (L)
Move the axis with the move tool – (E)
Disable axis modification – (L)
Use Rotate tool, or adjust H,P,B in cube’s coordinates, to rotate it around re-centered axis.
