    Hi all,

    I saw this clip:

    https://www.vimeo.com/5506977

I read somewhere what the clip was done entirely in after effects. Is there a way to link 3d layers to the rotation of a globe created with CC Sphere? so that they rotate together? Any tips?

    Joseph

seems like the layers are not sitting on the sphere..they are sliding a little..

maybe the layers parented to a null and rotated on it’s own at the same speed of the sphere??

    hmm….

Here’s what I’ve got so far.

I’ve managed to link up the rotations right but by parenting the camera to a null with the expression:

    lookAt(thisComp.activeCamera.position,postion)[0]

on my CC Sphere layer’s rotation properties does not seem to work. It only responds to when the camera’s position/poi is adjusted. Can anyone help? here’s the file so far:
