  • rotating text???

Sorry for the simple question…but I searched and could not find any answers.
Is there some kind of issue with the quality of rotating text in FCP? Even after I render the text it looks horrible. When I take-off the rotation the text looks fine??
    any help would be appreciated

What text generator are you using?

I’d suggest using Title 3D and use the parameters that come with it and not use the motion tab.

    What’s squirrely exactly? 🙂

Using the title 3d controls within the generator keeps the text vector based meaning it redraws every frame as oppose to FCPs text which draws it once and then moves and scales that once drawn image.

sorry, didn’t mean 3d text is squirrely…just that there is rotation option on regular text for that reason you pointed out. thnx again for the info.
