    Rotating text round a point

    Hey

    I want to rotate some text around an anchor point, but I want the text to always stay horizontal, so the effect looks like I am animating the position in a circle, not the rotation value.

    Is this do-able in expressions?

    Hi Olly,

    no expressions needed:

    1 create some text
    2 draw a circle mask over it.
    3 set the mask’s mode to ‘none’
    4 Twirl open your Text Layer -> Text -> Path Options and for “Path” choose your Mask 1
    5 Set “Perpendicular to Path” to NO
    6 now scrub/keyframe First or Last Margin.

    You may want to tweak the tracking of the text layer.
