    Hi all,

I’m quite new Cinema and fairly unskilled and was wondering if anyone could help me out here. As seen in the picture below I’m animating the undercarriage of a train, as you can see from the picture the red washers slide around 360 degree and I’m trying to get the yellow bar to move in unison and give the illusions it’s turning them

I’m wondering if there is a way to have the yellow bar orbit a central point further below it, while keeping it level. I’ve been bashing my head against my desk for days trying to figure this out!

if you put a Null as a child of a washer but offset where you want the bar to be, it will spin with the washer. Then you just need some xpresso to pass the position of the null only (not the rotation) to the bar.

You can move the pivot point of an editable object by enabling axis modification mode. That’s the fourth icon from the top of the left-most tool bar.
