Thanks so much for the quick reply.
I have been doing that (select polygon, rotate), but it just rotates in place. It doesn’t bring the polygon , and its sides, down to form the dormer.
I played around with movement and managed to jigger it into the right place.
I guess I’m wondering if the author of the tutorial meant for the whole piece to rotate down, or was leaving it up to us to “fill in the blanks” when it came to pulling this into place.
Any thoughts I can use for future projects like this?
    Thanks again.
    Michael

Step 16 says you have scale it down (height only) and move it by hand to line up. I would move the Axis down to the bottom of the poly and use Snapping to get it where you want it easily.
