July 13, 2011 at 4:57 amNope, that just rotates the thumbnail, not the clip.

July 13, 2011 at 8:34 amWhat sort of files are they, and which player are you using to play them? Only the QuickTime player and still image viewer supports rotation. Also, you may need to move off the clip and back on to it before the media tab is updated.

July 13, 2011 at 2:54 pmBacause CatDV does not support .m2t files form my SOny – I have to convert everything to .m4v
It is using the QT player.
Tried moving off the clip – and even tried exiting CarDV and restarting – no go… Still have the Thumb rotated, but not the video clip.

July 13, 2011 at 3:01 pmDo you have Final Cut Pro/Premiere/Avid/After Effects- I’d suspect you’ll need one of those to rotate and re-render rather than do it in Cat.

July 13, 2011 at 3:07 pmI have Premiere Pro 5.5 – yes I know that I can rotate it there – but rotating is one of the features of CatDV?

July 13, 2011 at 3:55 pmIs this on Mac or Windows? You see a blue Q when you play the clip? Are you using the media panel (the tab which says Movie or Preview) or the media dialog (“Play” button in the toolbar). Try opening the media dialog and pressing the [ or ] keys.
