rotate multicam shot
I have one camera of a 3 cam multicam that needs a little rotation to the whole clip. It’s 52 min. I applied the rotation, combined with the other clips, and it’s lost it’s rotation. The video is HDV.
Should I pre-render the rotated clip before making the multiclip? Should I export out/import in? Render in another sequence? What’s the best (quality) way to do this?

Dunno if it’s the most efficient way to do it but one way would certainly be to export the single clip you need after you hav rotated etc (export it as an uncompressed QuickTime) then reimported that rotated clip back in and use that? Shouldn’t be toomuch of a hassle…

As this is HDV, I’m attempting to create the master with the least number of compression cycles.
Does anyone else know another way to do this? Is it possible to edit multicam with the original skewed clip, later add the adjustment to the master clip and have the newly edited sequence reflect the rotation. I’m sure I’ll have to render it before exporting and compressing to MPEG-2, but it may be better quality?

I’d edit the whole multiclip thing without rotation.
Once you have finished the edit collapse the multiclip.
Rotate the first instance of the clip that needs it.
Copy the clip.
Select every subsequent clip form that angle onwards in the timeline and “Paste attributes” onto these clips.That should do it i reckon.
