  • Rotate images around 3d null

    Hi,

I know this should be easy but I cant seem to get it right!
I would like to rotate a set of images spread in 3d space around a null. I’ve parented all the images (layers) to the null but when I rotate the null (Y axis) they dont all seem to keep their distance from each other. It must be to do with the varying distance of each image from the null which is causing this irregular rotation. I’ve linked the rotation of each image correctly so they all face the camera, but their distance from each other changes with the rotation of the null.
    Any ideas?

Are they arranged in a circle in Z space around the null?

It’s hard to picture what you’re after exactly. Is your camera view from the front so the layers approach and recede from the camera as the null rotates? Or is it something else?

Yes, the camera is from the front and the layers recede as the null rotates. Think of an image gallery similar to the cover flow except the motion is circular.
