A less facetious answer would be to make a sequence preset or change your sequence settings so they conformed to a tall vertical aspect ratio say 480×640.

Rotate the canvas in the motion tab is not a good idea. You always render in “Fastest” so the lower available quality. Nevermind the Motion render Quality that you have choose.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I understand that there are not many people who shoot vertically,which is strange because when you shoot a person it seems to be natural that you want to do it vertically to cover the whole figure,in particular with HD format.
Anyway thanks a lot for replying.

It’s just television sets aren’t oriented that way. If you’re shooting fro the web of course you can make the image any aspect ratio you want.

You can rotate a compressed video on a Mac platform using MPEG Streamclip (free).
