Rosco Chroma Dance Floor?
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/816093-REG
Anyone have any experience using Rosco’s rubber dance floor linked above? From my research it is not color matched to their regular chroma key paint but to their brighter and more accurate DigiComp HD paint.
We do a high volume of green screen shoots, many of them choreographed dances, with rehearsals in the same studio. Furthermore, our studio is built in such a way that the interior door to the rest of the building opens onto the green screen floor itself. This means we repaint the studio floor a lot, and screen often gets dirty during a dance due to shoe marks, etc.
With an an anticipated increase in the volume of production, I’m interested in seeing if the Rosco dance floor might make financial sense. It would cost us about $2500 – $3000 to cover our studio floor.
The question is how useable is it in practice?
How durable is it? How dirty does it get and is it easy and quick to clean? How closely does it match the digicomp paints? Anyone have pictures of it in use? How matte/glossy is it? Can you roll scaffold, scissor lifts, dolly wheels, equipment carts, etc over it? Does it stick to the floor? Does it handle being rolled up and unrolled on a regular basis or does it work better if it stays down all the time?
Anyone have experience using it or know someone I could talk to who has?
Thanks!
