Is there a way to enter the trim mode and use the edit preview / keys to trim when you are sliding the clip within itself? The only way I can get this to work is by dragging the mouse on the clip which shows me the new head and tail frames. This is not accurate and I can;t loop preview it.

I have figured out how to get in the trim window when in between clips, but not for WITHIN a clip.

    Thanks,

    -Tim

Are you talking about using the Slip tool? It’s hard to understand when the terminology is not used correctly. If you’re talking a about the Slip tool you can select the clip first and then activate the Slip tool. Or if the Slip tool is already active, hold the Shift key to click on the clip to select it. You can then use the bracket keys to slip the clip content. Also remember if dragging is not accurate enough, you can hold the Command key to gear down the drag for more precision.

    All the best,

    Tom
