Has anyone else come across this:

I select an edit point in a sequence, hit ‘r’ for the roll tool, click and drag on the edit point, but FCP stupidly rolls the next edit point to the right, nowhere near where I’m dragging. Sometimes if I hit ‘a’, click on another cut point, then back on the cut point I want to adjust, THEN do the roll adjustment, it works. But why the hell does FCP sometimes just seemingly choose a random cut point to adjust, not the actual one I’m clicking on? Is it just another of FCP’s “features” that we so love?

make sure you don’t have any in/out points set in your timeline.
