  Role bug?

  Hi,

  I noticed something with changing roles attributed to clips already in the timeline.

  I edited in the mix provided from the Protools guy and only after doing this did I change its role to the one I created called Master Mix. When importing the mix FCPX had given the clip the Dialogue role.

  With all other roles “killed” (using the tl index), I could hear a faint echo on one interviewee’s parts. I was about to complain to the sound mixer when I thought I might check the original mix first in the browser: no echo.

  I then changed the role of the audio mix clip in the browser, reedited it in and voilà, echo gone. So it seems that changing roles in the timeline is not 100% reliable…

  anyone seen this before?
