I work in PPro 5.5. My project is HD (1920×1080; 25 frames per second because I am in Europe). I was half-way through a 2 hour long project when I noticed that when I render a simple 1-second transition the window shows Premiere is rendering 39 frames. It should be rendering 25 (PAL, as I mentioned above). And it does that every time: adds 14 frames to whatever length it renders. I can’t tell where they are. Nothing has the red line above. But every time I render, say 200 frames, it actually renders… 214.
A couple of days later it added another 15 ghost frames and now they are 29 altogether. I experimented by giving it just one frame… It says it renders 30.

This has never happened to me before. It is not a real problem but I’d like to know what’s causing this peculiar behavior. And I am a little worried if it might be symptomatic of a bigger problem to come.

    Best regards,
    Vasco
