  • Rode VideoMic picks up clanking and rubbing sounds with quick movement

So, I know the central part is banded to the placement around it by 4 rubber pieces, on the front and back, to make sure it doesn’t hit it. One of the bands is missing a small piece to latch onto, though I don’t notice it hitting it with small movements. It still clanks with certain movements of the boom pole, though. One another thing is the boom op’s hands against the boom pole (mine which is actually a hollow, plastic window cleaner pole) when moved around it cause the sound to travel. I believe putting a rubber grip around the pole would fix this. But, still, do you have any idea how to minimize the clanking I speak of?

And, also, if I already shot and picked up the sound of the Rode VideoMic itself, how could I possibly edit it down, intense low-pass filter tweaking?

    Thank you!!

Are all / any screws in the design of the mic fully tightened. I have a sony rifle that had some loosened crews in its contruction that caused noise on movemnet.
