RocketRaid 4320 Installation mayhem
Anybody have any clue how to “flash” a bios.blf file?
I’m sitting on a RocketRAID 4320, purportedly one hell of a great card, but for the life of me, I can’t get it up and running; and Highpoint’s Tech Support is anything but.
I installed the software that came with the RAID, then uninstalled it, went to their website, downloaded the appropriate drivers & found the BIOS file (in a completely different part of the website), and still, every time I try to boot up my Mac Pro with the RAID card connected to the 4 drives in my SATA drive slots, all I get is a big white screen. And it’s not even my boot drive. I have a RAID 0 2 x 500 GB drive set up in my 2nd optical drive connected via the motherboard’s connectors behind the fan array.
I’ve used the Expansion Slot Utility to ensure that the RAID card is connected to the correct PCI slot so that it’s getting all the juice that it needs; but still nothin.
Anybody anywhere got some advice? Calling all COW— HELP!!
