Robotic Pan-Tilt-Zoom Camera Question From A Dummy
A client wants help with setting up a multi-camera video production studio. It would be nice to have one or more of these cameras with a robotic control for pan & tilt and maybe even zoom (depending on cost).
We’re looking at some Tricaster production switchers and notice they can control multiple PTZ cameras. This is my question (sorry if it’s an idiotic one)…
Does that Tricaster switcher (that has the PTZ control) only control PTZ cameras like the ones Sony makes (all controls built-in) which looks like a surveillance camera, or is there a solution with a pan-tilt remote control base that can be added to type of camera that can be tied into and controlled by the Tricasters switcher? For example, if we had some Canon XF305 cameras is there a system we can buy to make them remotely controllable for pan-tilt AND tie that into the joystick control on a Tricaster?
