    A great loss!
Robert Altman, mostly known in the US for “Bonanza” was a critical and independent filmmaker whose peace propulsion work enlightened many of us for almost half a century.

God bless him and others him alike.

    Salut.

    One of a kind.
I didn’t know he did some of Bonanza, now I have an excuse for having liked it when I was a kid.

Here is an Industrial Film Altman made for the Veterans of Foreign Wars when he worked for Calvin in Kansas City before he directed in Hollywood. The beginning gives hints of things to come.

Among many runners-up, my favorite Robert Altman movie is “McCabe and Mrs. Miller”.

I will miss the uniqueness of his movies.

And let’s not forget “MASH” and “The Player”

    He will be missed.

And let’s not forget the campy version of “Popeye” that he made with Robin Williams as Popeye, Ray Walston as Poopdeck Pappy and Shelley Duvall as Olive Oyl.

But for pure Robert Altman with humanity under the microscope, there’s “A Wedding.” Now that’s funny.

    Kindest regards,
