RØDE mic for Canon Vixia HF S20
Hi!
I have done some research on microphones. I have $300 to spend on a shotgun microphone. The RØDE Videomic Pro is what appealed to me most. But it’s mostly used on DSLRs. I don’t want to dump $229 on a microphone that doesn’t work well with my Vixia HF S20. So if anyone has an opinion on what I should do, or a better mic in that price range, just respond please.Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Well the Rode Stereo Mike X/Y Condenser does work very well on the Canon 5D Mark II and the Canon HV20/30/40 but, you may need to set the volume manually , or check before you use it on the little Canon, it does connect and does work

Yeah I did get it. Setting my volume manually is the way to go. It’s not a hassle though.
