I have just opened a FCP project I have worked on for a while and the ripple tool is suddenly inoperative- I notice when I try to drag a clip to shorten it, this message appears: (clip collision on A1)

    Any idea??

Overlapping clips on other tracks that collide with each will cause this.

    All the best,

Now not only does the ripple tool not work, but when it does, it does not drag the sound track along with it.. (???)

I get the feeling this is a preference issue??

    Please respond..

    Thanks!
