ripple insert edit grayed out
hi guys, wanted to know how i can get the ripple insert edit button to work. i just trimmed a video and im about to click the ripple button but it cant b clicked. its grayed out. along with the button next to it. i got it to work on a diff video a while ago. but since then it wont work on any video i try to trim. hope u guys can help. thanx

can you provide us with a screen capture (image) of what your PPro screen looks like? I am not sure I understand the problem you are having. ripple is not a button in ppro source monitor, but there is a ripple tool. so…. please upload and embed a screen grab of your screen.

Most likely what is going on is that another track is interfering with the ability to ripple edit. Lock all other tracks (audio and video) that you don’t want to move and the ripple edit option should be available again.
