Ripping Assets
I was just given a DVD freelance project where the client wants most of the DVD to stay as is. He just wants one or two video pieces removed and some of the menus changed.
He does not have the original assets. I am using mpeg streamclip to get the video, but as far as the menus and transitional assets go, I am at a loss aside from a screen capture.
Can anyone recommend a program that can reverse engineer a DVD?

You should be able to demux the menus and transitions as well with MPEG StreamClip. They’re in the VOB labeled “_0” for each VTS. Either there or in the Video manager labeled VIDEO_TS.VOB.
Check with videohelp.com lots of good knowledge & tool and tutorials over there. Thats where most of the guys and gals would do this kind of stuff hang out.
